Doctor of Physical Therapy

Dr. Taylor started with Riata Therapy Specialists in 2012 and became a partner in 2015. He earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from UT Southwestern Medical Center following his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Health Promotion from Oklahoma State University. Dr. Taylor treats patients from multiple clinics within our organization while focusing administratively on Riata’s growth and facility management.

Matt played sports at both the high school and collegiate level and believes in a treatment plan of care that allows patients to return to a high degree of functional capacity. He has found specific areas of interest in CrossFit and Performing Arts athletes following his history as a CrossFit competitor and his wife’s distinguished career as a ballerina. He volunteers to help provide physically disabled kids with mobility tricycles through the Grapevine AMBUCS organization. Matt has obtained certifications in Dry Needling, Myofascial Decompression, Spinal Adjustments and Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy as well as obtaining his Strength & Conditioning Specialist Certification. Matt married his wife Michelle in 2014 and enjoys spending time with his growing family with the birth of their son Maverick in 2019, and daughter Charlotte in 2021.
