Dr. Austin Montgomery
Dr. Montgomery joined the RTS Physical Therapy team in 2017 and is the clinic director of the Southlake location. He earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from George Fox University in 2017 near Portland, Oregon after earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Abilene Christian University in 2013 in Abilene, Texas.
Dr. Montgomery values implementing evidence-based practice in addition to the role of clinical experience when seeking to address health conditions with the most effective treatment possible. Areas of special interest includes collaborating on a research project to study the results of exercise intervention in altering foot pressure mechanics during walking, which was accepted for presentation at the 2017 American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society annual meeting in Seattle, Washington. He appreciates the fact that observable laws affecting the behavior of the human body can be utilized to promote a healthy person.
Other interests include spending time with his wonderful wife, Kelsie, mountain biking, fishing, reading or finding new coffee shops.
