Dr. Kara Edgerton

Dr. Kara Edgerton earned a doctorate of physical therapy from the University of North Texas Health Science Center in May of 2016 and joined RTS Physical Therapy shortly thereafter.   In 2018, she currently manages our Trophy Club practice full time and became the clinic manager and lead therapist at the Bedford location. Dr. Edgerton thrives as a physical therapist by building relationships with her patients and working towards individual goals. She believes knowledge is power, and she works hard to provide patients with the means to be successful in whatever area they are striving to achieve, whether it is learning to walk again or do a complex motor skill like a backflip. In addition, Dr. Edgerton keeps up with all the latest research, staying on top of current practice which, combined with her experience and training from her mentors, allows her to serve her patients with the highest quality of care. Dr. Edgerton is also certified in the practice of dry needling and is currently pursuing continuing education in orthopedic manual therapy. Additionally, she has experience in, and is passionate about, vestibular therapy.

Outside of her professional interests, Dr. Edgerton has participated in gymnastics and competition cheerleading and is still involved in that community, coaching and teaching fundamental gymnastics skills in her spare time. In addition to coaching, she is an American Gymnastics Association certified judge for both the vault and floor exercise. Her other personal interests include mountain biking, backpacking, and yoga.
